Testimonial #5

Located across the street from a large green park in downtown Nafplio, this newly remodelled hotel is such a steal– easily the best option for anyone who wants to be in walking distance of the city center

but also doesn’t want to get their car stuck driving around the winding narrow one-way streets of Nafplio. We found parking literally across the street from our hotel, on Dervenaikon street (which dead-ends into the park). I had booked in advance very late the night before, and when we checked in about 12 hours later everything was ready for us. Our 3-person room had 2 regular twin beds (pushed together) plus a 3rd roller bed on wheels. For the electricity to work, the keys had to be placed in a slot near the door. The room had a good, strong AC, two French doors leading out onto a balcony, mini-fridge, armoire, large mirror, and vanity. The bathroom had a small glass-enclosed stand-up shower, also a blow-dryer. I tried out one of the many light switches and later the reception staff called asking us to turn our balcony light off (which I unknowingly had turned on) because it was disturbing a neighbor’s room. However, the balconies had plastic/metal dividers, so in the end I couldn’t figure out how it was disturbing the room next door. In the morning, I got a great quick coffee recommendation from the reception staff because we didn’t opt to pay for the hotel breakfast. From now on, this will be the place I stay in Nafplio. It’s a 5 minute walk along the water to the very center of downtown, and an incredible value.
